Is this the correct Medium for me?

Time for an experiment. I’ve resisted the urge to use Medium for some time, but I’ve missed writing. My skills have become stale. Hopefully, dabbling here will help me further my prose.

In the early 2000s, I wrote a technology column for the local newspaper. This was before the tsunami of tech journalism and consumer electronics. I was there — and wrote about — the birth of the satellite radio, Netflix, mp3 players, the DVR, the iPhone, HDTV, social media, and other geeky topics. Millennials and Zoomers can roll their eyes here, but this Gen Xer remembers a time before all of that. Tech journalism has become more sophisticated. Now, it’s podcasts and YouTube videos.

I’ll stick with writing for now. If I don’t use it, I might lose it. Look for a variety of topics here, from technology to current events. My goal is not to rant, but provide some information that maybe someone can use. I’ll also import some old blog entries.
